Positive Handling for Schools

All courses meet the statutory requirements, DfE, April 2026.

Our Positive Handling training equips school staff to manage challenging behaviour safely and effectively, in line with Department for Education guidance.

Positive Handling is taught as a last resort, to help prevent harm to both pupils and school staff and support pupils to regain emotional regulation.

All training is delivered with a focus on restraint reduction.

Training options include de-escalation to manage behaviours of distress, Positive Behaviour Support, and the safe use of Positive Handling techniques. Courses are flexible, tailored to your setting, and suitable for all age groups and group sizes. All training is delivered at your venue.
